AVR TUTORIAL 1 : INTRODUCTION TO MICROCONTOLLERS(ATMEGA16)
So, this my very first tutorial series and i am very much excited about it. In last one year i have never been thinking of that i am going to start a blog or a youtube channel (Knowledge Shelf), but here i am with my blog.
So, let’s get started,
So, Very basic and first question is,
What is AVR Microcontrollers ?
AVR microcontrollers is a family of 8-bit microcontrollers, which is designed by ATMEL corporation. First, i am going to start with the fancy name, AVR what is AVR? what is the meaning or full form of AVR. Seriously, speaking the is no full form or mean of this term. The Company (ATMEL Co.), who is responsible to invent this marvelous peace of chip or intelligent hardware, initially they choose this random name and labeled it on to the microcontroller but at the time media interview, when media person ask about the meaning of the name, they said “Advance Virtual RISC”. Why Virtual Risk because they have used the RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computing) type architecture to build the very core of the micro-controller.
Why Only AVR?
Why only AVR it is the most important questions. Ok, i admit, because it’s cheap, affordable, availability and lastly due to these reasons they are very-very famous and because they are famous. So ,it means they are easily available. In Delhi, Chandni Chowk is the biggest electronics market in India. This is the place where you can find each and every electronic component, which you have ever seen or heard in your entire life. The cost of this microcontroller is around 100 rupees, so as per the cost it’s not very much expensive, also easily available. I think these are the reasons which is quite phenomenal to make him very much famous, usable and productive.
